B.A. POLITICAL SC. AND INTERNATIONAL STUDIES

The Department of Political Science and International Studies of the University of Makeni (UniMak) is designed to offer a wide range of spe- cialization including, Political Philosophy, Sierra Leone Politics, Comparative Politics, International Relations and Political Theory. We sea- son up these areas of study with a substantial knowledge of global politics, public administration, public policy and public law.

Our faculty is essential to the birth of a new era of leadership and cooperation in local communities, governments and international bodies. The study can help students develop good habits in their future careers and eventually guide the next generation of leaders.

Students of our department will have the opportunity to work not only in government departments, but also represent their country as Ambas- sadors or Diplomats, attend sessions in foreign court or work in organization whose agendas greatly bear with the interests of Political Scien- tists

Admission Requirements

Applicants for admission into the B.A Political Science and International Studies should have the following entry requirements: Five (5) cred- its including English Language and Government in WASSCE or GCE ‘O’ levels or equivalent in not more than two (2) sittings.
