How to Check Your Online Application Status

To track your UFS application status on the UFS system:

  1.  Open any internet browser and type www.ufs.ac.za in the URL.
  2. On the active page of the UFS website: Click on the ‘Students’ tab to navigate to KovsieLife.
  3. Click the ‘Student Self Service’ tab on the active KovsieLife webpage.
  4. After clicking on ‘Student Self Service’, you will be navigated to the Oracle PeopleSoft system.
  5. Once you have navigated to the Oracle PeopleSoft system:
  • Type in your student number in the User ID text box;
  • Type in your password in the Password text box; and
  •  Click ‘Sign In’ once you have typed in your student number and password.

6. Once you have successfully logged in on Oracle PeopleSoft, the system will navigate you to ‘Student Services Center’.

7. On the active Student Services Center page, click ‘View Application’ to track your application(s) status

Congratulations if your name is among the successful candidates in the Online Application Status of the University of the Free State UFS.

NB: All applicants who have successfully submitted their application forms should constantly log in to their online application status check page for more updates regarding their application and to check the completeness and status of application.

Make sure you upload all the required documents and pay the necessary fees.

6. Student is no longer eligible to enrol due to not meeting the university’s progression rules

When the college receives your application, you will receive an email from University of the Free State UFS with a username and PIN to log in to the application status page.
