Everyone wanting to start a new qualification must apply for admission. This includes:

  • first-time Varsity College applicants.
  • Varsity College students changing to a new qualification and / or specialization.
  • students completing a higher certificate or any other program and who wish to continue with further undergraduate studies.

What does the selection process entail?

Please refer to the detail below for the requirements for admission to The Independent Institute of Education’s (The IIE’s) (Pty) Ltd higher education learning programmes. Additional admission requirements may apply to some academic programmes. Details will be in the fact sheet provided for each relevant program.

Make sure to review all applicable requirements prior to applying for admission. The admission requirements apply to all students who are interested in pursuing a program or course at the Varsity College.

How to Apply?

The following steps will guide you to successfully go through your application process:

  1. First, visit the official website of the institution via https://www.varsitycollege.co.za/ to fill your form or acquire your application form at the school’s Campus. Students should apply within the application cycle. This prevents rejected applications.
  2. Fill in the form with all necessary documentation (Latest Academic Results). Certified copy of guardian\parent ID , Proof of residence, and  Student certified ID.
  3. Remember you will need email address when filling the form, It is, therefore, advisable to create an email address if you don’t have one. Also, remember to provide a valid cell Phone number when filling the forms because the school will text you if you gain admission.
  4. A full application submitted entirely must include the certified copy of your ID and a certified copy of your latest school results as stated above.

IMPORTANT:

Please note that to apply – you must upload a certified copy of your South African National ID or passport so please ensure that this is available for upload.

Further we will evaluate your application based on the documentation that we receive from you, therefore if you provide us with your most recent academic eligibility documentation – we will be able to provide you with a more accurate assessment of your eligibility, which will determine your offer of Admission.

Should your application be incomplete due to outstanding documents or because such documentation has not been certified, you will receive a Provisional Offer.

The 2022 Varsity College Admission Closing date is scheduled as follows:

Dates And Deadlines

Undergraduate IIE Degree applications closed on 12 November 2021

Applications for 2022 open on 1 April.

Late applications for Full Time degrees will be considered should space be available, with a late non–refundable application fee of R1750 levied.

Diploma and Higher Certificate program applications will remain open until programs are full. Fees are payable online or through EFT.

Once payment has been made a Student Advisor will then contact you to complete the application process.

Please note that in order to process your Full-Time and Part-Time application a non-refundable fee of R400 is required for full-time applications and R250 for Part-Time (contact) and Distance applications.

Please note that a limited number of students can be accepted to programmes at The IIE’s Varsity College, each academic year.
