Minimum Entry Requirements

A minimum of C5 or better in any of the following subjects: English Language, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics/Further Mathematics and Physics with a maximum aggregate of 18 in not more than two (2) sittings OR an equivalent qualification.

  1. MBChB Premedical 2

A minimum C4 or better in the following subjects: English Language, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics/Further Mathematics and Physics and a maximum aggregate of 12 in not more than two (2) sittings OR an equivalent qualification.

  1. Direct entry into the MBChB Programme

Students can be admitted into the first year of the MBChB programme if they fulfill one of the requirements:

  1. Successful completion of the Premedical 2 Programme.
  2. 3 GCE ‘A’ levels (A-C) in any of the following subjects; Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics in not more than two sittings or an equivalent qualification.
  3. Graduates with a Bachelor’s degree at Division-2 or better from a recognized university
  1. Pharm (Hons) Pre-Pharmacy

A minimum of C5 in any four and a C6 in the remaining one of the following subjects: English Language, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics/Further Mathematics, Physics/Core Science(at WASSCE) with a maximum aggregate of 20 in not more than two sittings OR an equivalent qualification.

  1. Direct entry into the 1st Year B.Pharm (Hons) Programme

Candidates can be admitted to the First (1st) year B.Pharm (Hons) programme if they fulfill the following requirements:

  1. Successful completion of the Pre-Pharmacy programme.
  2. Diploma in Pharmacy with 5 credits at WASSCE in English Language, Mathematics/Further Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and physics/Core Science.
  3. 2 GCE ‘A’ levels (A-D) in any of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics; or an equivalent qualification.
  4. Graduates with a science degree preferably in Chemistry at Division 3 or better from a recognized university.
  1. Diploma in Pharmacy

A minimum credit of C6 or better in five of the following subjects: English Language, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics/Further mathematics and Physics/Core Science (at WASSCE) in not more than two sittings OR an equivalent qualification.

  1. Hons Medical Laboratory Sciences

A minimum of five credits with at least Two C5 in Two subjectsand Three C6 in the remaining subjects at West African School Certificate Examination (at WASSCE) or its equivalent qualification in not more than two (2) sittings. The compulsory subjects are English Language and Mathematics plus any THREE Science subjects from the following:  Biology, Physics/ Core Science, Chemistry Additional Mathematics and Health Science. Candidates with Five WASSCE OR its equivalent qualification and a Good pass in the 3-year Diploma in Medical Laboratory sciences may be admitted to the second (2nd) year of the programme.

  1. Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences

A minimum of C6 or better in all five of the following subjects: English Language, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics/Further mathematics and Physics/Core Science (at WASSCE)in not more than two sittings OR an equivalent qualification.

  1. (Hons) Nursing 
  1. A minimum of C5 in any four and a C6 in the remaining one of the following subjects: English Language, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics/Further mathematics, Physics (at WASSCE) with a maximum aggregate of 20 in not more than two sittings OR an equivalent qualification.
  2. Candidates with Five WASSCE OR GCE O Levels in the following subjects: English Language, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics/Further Mathematics and Physics/ Core Science in not more than two (2) sittings and a Good pass in the 3-year Diploma in Nursing may be admitted to the Second (2nd) year of the programme.
  3. Candidates with a Diploma in Nursing (SRN) and Certificate/Diploma in Midwifery (SCM) with at least five years work experience may be admitted to the Third (3rd) year of the programme.
  1. Diploma in Nursing

A minimum credit of C6 or better in all five of the following subjects: English Language, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics/Further mathematics and Physics (at WASSCE) in not more than two sittings OR an equivalent qualification.

Candidates with five credits C6 or better in the following Subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Biology/Health Science, Chemistry and any other subject with a Certificate in Nursing (SECHN) may be admitted to the First (1st) year of the programme.
