Programs Offered

Our programs offer students a platform for academic excellence with subjects that are constructed to provide equal emphasis on theoretical and practical exposure. Our course offerings may vary each semester.

From time to time, circumstances may require an update to our class offerings. Students are encouraged to check their class schedule regularly for any changes to the time, day, location, or instruction mode of classes.

Below is a comprehensive list of current and recent course offerings scheduled for 2022/2023 academic year

DIPLOMA PROGRAMS

1. Advanced Diploma in Child and Adolescent Mental Health

Diploma Entry

Diploma or higher qualification in any relevant field

Evidence of prior experience of working with children and adolescent

Must be able to commit time to study and to undertake clinical work with children on a weekly basis at their workplace throughout the program

Should demonstrate basic IT skills

2. Diploma in Counselling

Direct Entry

One principal pass and two subsidiary passes in any A’level subjects

Diploma Entry

Diploma in any relevant field

3. Diploma in Emergency Medicine

Diploma Entry

Clinical Officer or Registered Nurse

Evidence of completion of 2 years post-qualification clinical practice

Full registration with the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council or Nursing Council or Allied Health Professionals’ Council, or equivalent

A current Certificate of Good Standing with the relevant Medical Council

Three letters of reference/recommendation from either former teachers or professional colleagues

Evidence of an adequate knowledge of clinical sciences (anatomy, physiology, pharmacology) which may be further assessed by a pre-course paper.

2. Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology

Direct Entry

A principal pass in Biology, Chemistry or Physics and a pass in Mathematics obtained at Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) or its equivalent

Diploma Entry

Certificate in Science Laboratory Technology with at least a credit pass or its equivalent from a recognized institution

POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMS

1. Postgraduate Diploma in Business Informatics

A degree in Computing, Information Technology, Information Systems, Informatics, Business Studies or a degree in other STEM-related fields from a recognized institution

2. Postgraduate Diploma in Health Information Technology

A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Information Systems/Computer Engineering/Software Engineering or any other computing related field or other STEM-related degree from a recognized higher institution of learning

OR

A bachelor’s degree in Medicine, Nursing, Dentistry, Pharmacy and any other health care-related degree fron a recognized higher institution of learning

3. Postgraduate Diploma in Information Systems

A degree in Information Systems or Computer Science or Software Engineering or Information Technology or Computer Engineering from a recognized institution

OR

A degree in any other STEM-related field with evidence of having taken acceptable courses in information systems

4. Postgraduate Diploma in Development Studies

An honors first degree
