If you are a high school senior or a student who has completed high school and has not yet enrolled at another college or university after graduation, you should apply for freshman admission.

Freshman students are those who have not previously enrolled in a regionally accredited college or university, or who have only enrolled in college courses prior to high school graduation.

The Academic Registrar, Mbarara University invites applications from Ugandan, East African, S. Sudan and international applicants for the undergraduate programs under the private sponsorship scheme for the 2023-2023 Academic year.

HOW TO APPLY?

The following steps will guide you to successfully go through your application process:

  1. First, visit the official website of the institution via https://applications.must.ac.ug/ to fill your form or acquire your application form at the school’s Campus.
  2. Students should apply within the application cycle. This prevents rejected applications.
  3. Fill in the form with all necessary documentation (Latest Academic Results) that is required of you to support your application. Certified copy of guardian\parent ID, Proof of residence, and Student certified ID.
  4. Remember you will need email address when filling the form, It is, therefore, advisable to create an email address if you don’t have one. Also, remember to provide a valid cell Phone number when filling the forms because the school will text you if you are given admission.

After submitting your application, make sure to send all required documents needed for review.

Supporting Documents

All applicants are encouraged to provide supporting documents as part of their applications – such as essays and letters of recommendation. Be sure to review the admission requirements of your intended program to see if any supporting documents are required.

As a first year applicant, you’ll need to provide us with your official high school transcript(s). Your transcript(s) should include all of the courses and grades that you’ve completed up until this point.

Once you submit your application to Mbarara University, they perform some basic application checks. If a problem is found, the institution rejects your application with a “Rejected with Errors” status. You must address all errors and submit again. If no problem is found, the school places your application in a queue for agency retrieval.

 Submit

We recommend you submit early – at least 2 days before the due date. Submitting early provides time to track your application, correct any errors and view your application by the due date.
