ISBAT as a quality brand in education sector has been in existence in Uganda since 2005, being ranked consistently among the top higher education institutions. ISBAT University has been awarded charter status by Uganda National Council for Higher Education and its now one of the chartered universities in Uganda now

Originally founded in 2005, in Kampala, the capital city of Uganda, by a renowned philanthropist and educationist Mr. Varghese Mundamattam, in his quest to make quality education affordable and accessible in Uganda and in the East African region with a moto of empowering lives of every citizen. Established initially as a Tertiary Institution, moved on to the level of a Degree-awarding Institution and finally transformed in January 2016 into a fully-fledged University with own state-of-the-art metropolitan campus in Kampala. A member of the Future Education and Technology Group, ISBAT University is well recognized and respected for imparting high quality education and training in Uganda as well as in the East African region with a highly focused skill based training model to create employable professionals.

ISBAT moved steadily and became one of the best institutions in Uganda and continuing the journey to become one of the top Universities in Uganda and in the East African region and to offer unique and globally acclaimed curriculum that has the right blend of Education and Skills and thereby making the students occupied and employable. In 2013, ISBAT attained a status of “A Private Other Degree Awarding Institution”, offering Diploma, Undergraduate and Post Graduate degree programs as accredited by NCHE. ISBAT built and moved into its own campus in 2015, providing a state-of-the-art learning infrastructure and learning environment that will promote Research, Innovation and Experiential Learning to all its students to ensure they get adequate practical skills.

The dawn of 2016, ISBAT was accredited as ISBAT UNIVERSITY (International Business, Science And Technology University), for its continuous efforts to provide Quality Education that will churn out holistic and empowered global citizens. The University offers Bachelors and Masters Degree programmes in various disciplines such as Information and Communication Technology, Business, Commerce, Multimedia, Animation and Engineering.

ISBAT University’s modern campus includes smart lecture halls, air conditioned computer labs with client/server and desktops, an extensively stocked physical and digital library, and other networking platforms to facilitate cross disciplinary and multi-layer technologies, Engineering labs, Science labs, Innovation center, Video conferencing / web casting center, fibre-optic back bone for networking with wifi, affordable cafeteria and hostel facilities to mention a few. The state-of-the art Centre of Excellence bridges University and Industries for the industry-academia partnership and research. ISBAT University equips students with essential skills to meet the demands of the 21st century. Therefore students with a passion for entrepreneurship in a bid to venture into self-employment, ISBAT University should be student’s most preferred destination.

The University also established a modern technology lab branded CyberVault, which provides real time and ultimate learning experience in Cyber Security, Data Center Virtualization, Data Science engineering, Ethical Hacking and Digital Cyber Forensic. The Computer Animation and Multimedia studio was successfully installed with all digital equipment to cater for the needs of what a real Animation studio needs, which gives students to achieve more practical experience.

At the University, the emphasis is always on providing quality education within Uganda and in the East African region, with relevant and internationally developed curriculum with credits defined to meet international standards, a reason for its degrees being recognized world over. Today, ISBAT University has students representing 23 countries and it stays ahead of other Universities in infrastructure and new age programmes and facilities and is a preferred destination for students from other African nations. It has an active alumni base of over 6,000 across the world.

The University has seen all-round development over the last over three years with introduction of new-age and highly demanded academic programmes, establishment of higher-end Information Technology labs and Engineering labs to ensure that the skills being imparted to its community is next to none. The University ensures that the tuition fees are generally affordable to common citizens while upholding quality and standards of academic delivery and skilling based on practical learning and real life projects. The University fulfills its social responsibility by offering bursaries to economically backward and academically excelled students through talent-hunt scholarship exams. The university also supports and encourages students in sports and giving bursary support to such students who has proven track record in sports at the school level.
