Africa Renewal University fee stucture 2023-2024: The management of the Africa Renewal University (AFRU) has released the School Fee Structure to be paid by each undergraduate and postgraduate (Degree, PhD, Masters,Diploma, Certificate, Short Course and Non-Degree) private and government students respectively for the 2023-2024 academic session.

The following policies and procedures are applicable to all students who officially register for programmes at the Africa Renewal University . The Institute reserves the right to change fees without prior notice. However, fee changes are subject to approval by the Governing Council and we will update it ASAP. See fees structure for all universities in Uganda.

You will be required to pay UGX 20,000 (twenty thousand) per year directly to the National Council for Higher Education with UGX 2750 bank Charges. You will not be registered by the University without proof of payment of that statutory fee.

Application Requirements

Application forms for admission to Africa Renewal University (AfRU) are available at the Academic Registrar’s office. They can also be downloaded from our website: www.afru.ac.ug. A complete application package should be submitted in full to the Office of the Academic Registrar not later than one month before the opening of the semester applied for. Applications that do not meet the deadline will be considered in subsequent

admissions.

Only complete applications, which consist of the following, will be processed:

1.A signed and completed application form.

2.Non-refundable application fee of 30,000 UGX.

3.Official copies of all secondary, post-secondary, college and university certificates.

4.Pastor’s / Church Leader’s recommendation.

5.10 recent passport size photographs.

6.Copy of passport and student visas for all foreign students.

7.A brief statement of purpose stating the applicants career goals, why he/she is joining ARU and what they plan to do after completion.

Entry Requirements to a Degree Programme:

The minimum entry requirements for admission to a Degree Programme are:

1.Uganda Certificate of Education (O’ Level) with a minimum of 5 passes and

Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (A’ Level) with a minimum of two principal passes obtained at the same sitting; or

2.A relevant Diploma from an institution of higher learning recognised by the National Council for Higher Education, or

3.A pass in mature age entry examinations with at least 50% and must be 25 years and above

Entry Requirements to a Diploma Programme:

The minimum entry requirements for admission to a diploma programme are:

1.Uganda Certificate of Education (O’ Level) with a minimum of 5 passes; and

2.Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (A’ Level) with a minimum of 1 principal pass and 2 subsidiary passes obtained at the same sitting; or

3.A Certificate from an institution of higher learning recognised by the National Council of Higher

Education.

Entry Requirements to a Certificate Programme:

The minimum entry requirements for admission to a Certificate Programme are:

1.Uganda Certificate of Education (O’ Level) with a minimum of 3 credits obtained at the same sitting

4.1.4International Applicants

International applicants must first have their qualifications translated and then equated by Uganda National Examinations Board. Admission will then be given when they are found to meet the requirements for each programme as described above.
